Caml Works

Functional programming for a wide audience

Caml Works develops the OCaml ecosystem, especially Web development tools. We make neat, easy-to-use, yet powerful libraries with excellent documentation. We seek to improve the language onboarding process, and to help develop a vibrant community around OCaml.

We want to bring practical functional programming to the widest possible audience that would benefit from it.

Caml Works was formed by a group of experienced OCaml ecosystem contributors, as a kind of deep tech cooperative. All of our output continues to be open-sourced under free licenses and donated to the community. We work in public, building up knowledge in the community as we build out projects.

We are initially focusing on developing the Web framework Dream, related projects, and the overall OCaml development experience.
